Donnacha has enjoyed over 20 years in the field of physiotherapy. He commenced his physiotherapy training at UCD in 1998 and graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy in 2002. He began his working career in hospital-based care, where he spent three years working at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin. He then moved to Limerick in 2004 and worked as a physiotherapist and physiotherapy manager at a private practice for five years before establishing Mid West Physiotherapy in 2009. During this time he also completed a Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy and a Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy. Donnacha’s main areas of interest include; musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, back and neck pain and occupational health. He has worked with many sports teams over the years including the Tipperary Senior and Minor Hurling Teams, UCD Soccer, Limerick FC, Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) and many other local GAA clubs in Limerick and Tipperary. Likewise he works with many leading multinational companies in the mid-west providing occupational health training and consultancy services. Elsewhere, Donnacha is a guest lecturer for University of Limerick’s MSc Physiotherapy and Sports Science programmes, and a speaker at conferences and business events.
