Leonora Kennedy (Physiotherapist)
Leonora Kennedy, physiotherapist at Mid West Physiotherapy, has a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy from University of Limerick, and also earned previous degree qualifications in Psychology and Sports Science. Prior to her physiotherapy career, Leonora was a member of the Irish rowing team, with many successes under her belt including winning gold at the U-23 World Championships!
Her love of sport carries through to her day-to-day work, and she has a keen interest in the treatment and management of sports injuries. Heart health is another of her clinical specialties and she runs our cardiac rehabilitation programme here at Mid West Physiotherapy. Leonora also specialises in exercise and wellness during and post pregnancy; she is a qualified Advanced Pregnancy Wellness Practitioner and Postnatal Exercise and Wellness Practitioner, and is an experienced antenatal Pilates teacher having taught with The Bump Room for many years.
Alongside her clinical work at Mid West Physiotherapy, Leonora Kennedy is very interested in academic research and recently completed work as a research assistant to Dr. Karen McCreesh at University of Limerick.
