Purpose of this policy

This purpose of this Website Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy is to outline the manner in which Mid West Physiotherapy collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from of our website, www.midwestphysio.ie.  

 Personal identification information

If a user wishes to make contact with Mid West Physiotherapy through our website, they can do so via a contact form or booking form. So that we may respond effectively to their query, we will require the user to provide their name, telephone number and/or email address, (plus home address and date of birth in the case of booking form submissions).  Personal information submitted via the website will only be used for the purposes of answering the query or processing a booking.  The user will need to read and accept the terms of this policy in order to submit their contact form. If after 12 months the user has not become a patient of Mid West Physiotherapy, and has not subscribed to our mailing list, then any personal data which was submitted through the website will be deleted.

 Google analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised tracking data including the pages you have visited, the amount of time spent on each page, the website you have come from before visiting this website, your location (country and/or region) and other non-personal information. Mid West Physiotherapy collects and uses non-identifiable user data from visitors to our website for the following purposes:

  • To personalise the user experience:  We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.

Sharing your data

We employ the services of a website developer, IT support provider and SEO consultant to help us operate our website.  These providers are bound by the terms of our Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy, and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) legislation.  We also use a GDPR-compliant patient management system called Cliniko through which on-line bookings are processed, and CliniqApps through which digital forms and feedback surveys are issued.  We may use other third party service providers to administer activities such as e-newsletters or e-surveys.  We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission to do so.

Mailing list

If a User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they may receive emails that may include clinic news and updates, health and wellness advice, related product or service information, surveys etc.  

If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, they may avail of the “Unsubscribe” facility at the bottom of each email, or the user may prefer to contact the clinic directly.

 Third party websites

Users may see content on our website which links to the sites and services of third parties such as professional and academic bodies, health promotion agencies etc.  We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to/from our website.  Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

 How we protect your information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, interception, disclosure or destruction of any personal information stored on our site.

 Requesting and/or deleting your data

If you require copy of your data, or if you wish for your data to be deleted, please notify us in writing.  For data access requests, we will supply you with all requested information within 30 days at no cost.   For deletion requests, we will remove all of your information stored on company files and third party services.  

 Changes to this privacy policy

Mid West Physiotherapy reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time.  Any material changes to this policy will be posted to our website, and we will revise the date underneath accordingly.  It is the user’s responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

By using this website, you signify your acceptance of this policy and terms of service.  If you do not agree to this policy, we would ask that you refrain from visiting our website.  Your continued use of the website following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
