Neuro Physiotherapy

Neurological Conditions

We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Susan Coote, Optimise Neuro Physio, to our clinical team at Mid West Physiotherapy. Susan is a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in neurological conditions including stroke, Parkinsons disease, MS and other neurological conditions.

Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a condition that affects the nerves in the spinal cord and brain. Symptoms of MS vary from person to person and can include fatigue, decreased balance, changes in sensation, muscle stiffness, and reduced mobility. Expert advice, support and treatment from neuro physiotherapist, Dr Susan Coote.

Dr. Susan Coote is an expert neuro physiotherapist who specialises in stroke. A stroke happens when the brain is deprived of oxygen, either from a clot in the brain which obstructs bloodflow, or from a bleed in the brain. Depending on the severity, research into stroke recovery has shown that physiotherapy can improve physical function, balance, walking and strength.

Parkinson’s Disease

Dr. Susan Coote is an expert in neuro physiotherapy. Parkinson’s disease is a neurological condition that affects people’s movements. People with Parkinson’s may have a tremor; difficulty walking, stepping or balancing; or slower movements. The aim of physiotherapy is to improve your strength, mobility, movements, balance, and gait.

Falls Prevention Programmes

Dr. Susan Coote, expert neuro physiotherapist, creates falls prevention programmes to help anyone with decreased mobility or balance. The aim of a falls prevention programme is to reduce the risk of falling by increasing a person’s strength, balance, awareness, independence, and confidence.
