The programme may include exercise, hands-on and technology-supported treatments that aim to:
- Improve strength and muscle endurance
- Increase joint and muscle flexibility and range
- Improve balance and reduce risk of falls
- Reduce tone and spacticity
- Improve walking ability
- Improve quality of life
- Facilitate participation in our community
- Optimise return to work and sport and leisure activities
Who is suitable?
This type of physiotherapy is suitable for people with a neurologist- or gerontologist-confirmed diagnosis of conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves. Treatment is suitable for people at any stage – recently diagnosed or living with a long-term neurological condition.
