Shane Brennan Physiotherapist
Shane Brennan physiotherapist at Mid West Physiotherapy, graduated with a degree in physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014. Shortly after he took up a position at University Hospital Limerick where he worked for 4 years. While there he developed a special interest and passion for treating patients after orthopaedic surgery – both elective & traumatic.
Shane then moved to London where he worked for 2 years in private practice; there he enjoyed a really interesting and varied musculoskeletal caseload, including the assessment and treatment of youth elite gymnasts. Shane returned to Ireland in late 2020 and has since commenced a Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy at University College Dublin.
We were delighted to welcome Shane to our team in September 2021. His clinical interests include; sports injuries, musculosketal disorders (injuries, pain, joint problems) and post-surgical rehabilitation. He is particularly interested in foot and ankle problems and has completed further training in this area; he is also an orthotics practitioner.
A keen Gaelic footballer, Shane played for the Clare senior footballers between 2010 and 2017. He still plays club football when his own injuries allow!
