Shane Brennan Physiotherapist
Shane Brennan physiotherapist at Mid West Physiotherapy, graduated with a degree in physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014. Shortly after he took up a position at University Hospital Limerick where he worked for 4 years. While there he developed a special interest and passion for treating patients after orthopaedic surgery – both elective & traumatic.
Shane then moved to London where he worked for 2 years in private practice; there he enjoyed a really interesting and varied musculoskeletal caseload, including the assessment and treatment of youth elite gymnasts. Shane returned to Ireland in late 2020 and has since commenced a Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy at University College Dublin.
A keen Gaelic footballer, Shane played for the Clare senior footballers between 2010 and 2017. He still plays club football when his own injuries allow!
With such varied experience, Shane has developed a passion for applying the principles of rehabilitation to all populations. While his special interests are post-op rehab and sports injuries, he is confident treating people of all activity levels and all ages.
